The safety of our patients is our top priority at all times. That is why we rely on experienced medical staff and cutting-edge technical equipment for our ambulance aircraft and helicopters. We place great importance on consistent compliance with all maintenance and inspection deadlines. As the aviation industry is subject to the strictest safety regulations worldwide, this already ensures the first-class condition of our ambulance fleet. Nevertheless, we firmly believe in carrying out unscheduled checks in order to guarantee the highest degree of safety for everyone concerned.
Our ambulance flight missions are not the only aspects that are subject to the highest quality standards. We also fulfil the strictest requirements in terms of our organisational activities. All flights are planned from our headquarters in Wuppertal, Germany, so you can always rely on our 'Made in Germany' quality standards. In order to ensure the greatest possible level of safety for our patients in our organisational processes at all times, we subject all our practices the ISO-9001 Quality Management Standard.
In addition, we are partners of the Flight Safety Foundation and support their worldwide campaign for aviation safety. The foundation's main activities include promoting technological innovation, conducting studies and developing guidelines. All the measures have the goal of avoiding accidents and ensuring safe aviation, aims that Medical Air Service supports wholeheartedly. Over 1,000 member organisations from 150 countries put their own political, cultural and economic interests aside in their support for the foundation and collectively strive to improve flight safety. This has given the work of the Flight Safety Foundation a solid international reputation.
