Fairchild Metro

Description

The Fairchild Metro is one of the most popular turboprop planes in the world. This aircraft is particularly suitable for short-haul ambulance flights. As the cabin is extremely spacious, it is possible to accommodate the patient, plus several accompanying persons and additional luggage.

During the flight, the patient is cared for by medical staff who have received specific ambulance flight training. Since the Fairchild Metro can land on very short runways, it can fly to an airport close to the hospital, which shortens the time required for road journeys and thus reduces stress for the patient.
